Code of Conduct – NXTSpace

Welcome to NXTSpace! We are a place for visionaries, makers and explorers. To push the boundaries of what is possible together, we rely on a culture of trust and mutual respect.

1. Our Core Values

We believe that innovation is born where diversity meets openness.

Be respectful: Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Be inclusive: Discrimination based on origin, gender, identity, religion or background has no place here.

Be helpful: Knowledge grows when you share it. Support each other on projects.

2. Intellectual Property (IP Rights)

Innovation requires security for your own ideas.

Creator ownership: All intellectual property rights arising from projects at NXTSpace remain fully with the respective students or inventors.

3. Photography at NXTSpace

Please note that photos and videos may be taken during your stay at NXTSpace. These may be published in posts on the social media channels of Die Wissensstadt Heilbronn gGmbH as well as on the website www.wissensstadt.hn. The legal basis is our Legitimate Interest in the presentation and promotion of NXTSpace pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

If you wish to object to this, please contact the photographer on site or the contact persons of Die Wissensstadt Heilbronn gGmbH. Should you wish to object to the publication of a specific photo after the fact, please contact us at hello@nxtspace.de. Further information can be found in the Privacy Policy.

4. Collaboration & Community

NXTSpace thrives on interaction.

Keep it clean: Leave your workspace or workshop the way you would like to find it.

Respect quiet zones: Respect focus times and marked quiet areas.

Feedback culture: Constructive criticism is welcome – destructive behaviour is not.

5. Handling Equipment

Technology is at the heart of NXTSpace.

Safety first: Only use machines and tools after you have been briefed.

Transparency: If something breaks (which can happen!), report it immediately. Only then can we fix it for everyone.

6. Unacceptable Behaviour

We do not tolerate behaviour that endangers the safety or well-being of our members. This includes:

• Harassment of any kind.
• Intimidation or stalking.
• Theft or deliberate damage to property.
• Unwanted photos or videos of members without their consent.

7. Emergency Exits & Safety

Your safety is our top priority.

Escape routes: Before your first visit, please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the emergency escape routes, exit signs and assembly points at NXTSpace.

Fire extinguishers: Note the location of the fire extinguishers in the space.

Emergencies: In case of an emergency, remain calm, follow the marked escape routes and leave the building immediately. Do not use lifts during a fire alarm.

8. Consequences

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in warnings or exclusion from events. We reserve the right to impose an immediate ban in the case of serious violations.
